Meet the Team behind Class of Five

Lisa Lai - Your First Friendly Hello

If you reach out to us on LINE, chances are, Lisa will be the one answering! As our customer service lead, she’s here to make sure every question gets a clear and helpful response.

Lisa isn’t just great at communication—she’s an English teacher herself, with two years of classroom experience and a thriving online tutoring business of her own. She knows firsthand what it takes to help students succeed.

Her own English skills even took her on a working holiday to Yellowstone, proving that learning a language opens doors—sometimes to some pretty amazing places.

Got a question? Lisa’s got the answers!

Mango Ho - Sales With a Smile

I don’t just sell a product, I share something far more valuable: opportunity.

Education is one of the most important investments anyone can make. It’s the foundation of confidence, the bridge to future success, and sometimes, the key that unlocks a student’s potential in ways they never expected.

At Class of Five, we believe in more than just teaching English. We believe in providing students with the tools they need to grow, express themselves, and succeed. And that’s what I do — I connect families with a program that isn’t just about learning a language, but about building a future.

Because when parents choose a class, they’re not just picking a service. They’re choosing to invest in their child’s development. My job is to make sure they see the true value of that investment—not just in words, but in results.

Education isn’t about selling. It’s about sharing something meaningful. And I’m here to make sure families get the right opportunity for their children.

Dan Makin - Founder & Curriculum Creator

With over a decade of teaching experience in Taiwan, Dan has seen firsthand what works—and what doesn’t—when it comes to learning English. That’s why he founded Class of Five and designed its curriculum: to deliver a quality educational product that parents can trust, see results from, and afford.

Dan’s approach blends game-based learning with memory science, making lessons engaging, effective, and built to last. He’s always refining the method, ensuring students don’t just memorize English—they use it confidently.

With Class of Five, Dan isn’t just want to make English more accessible for everyone—he wants to change how it’s learned.
